Association of Emotional and Cognitive Intimacy With Promiscuous Married Men Through Mediating Role of Attitude Towards Infidelity

Background: Promiscuity and attitude towards infidelity can harm family health cause many problems. They are also two important reasons for divorce separation. This study aimed to investigate the association of emotional cognitive intimacy with promiscuity through mediating role in married men. Methods: applied descriptive had a correlational design adopted structural equation modeling method. The statistical population included all men Bushehr (Iran) who visited marriage counseling centers 2020. A total 384 were selected as sample using convenience sampling. research tools Personal Assessment Intimacy Relationships, Attitudes Infidelity Scale, Justifications Extramarital Relationships. Data analyzed via Pearson correlation method modeling. SPSS version-24 AMOS-24 further used analyzing data. Results: results indicated that there was direct between (β=0.18, P=0.001), (β=-0.62, (β=0.11, P=0.014), (β=0.68, but no significant promiscuity. findings revealed relationship (β=0.19, P=0.009) (β=-0.39, P=0.007) Conclusion: In general, this emotional-cognitive is predictor Therefore, contribute studies lead marital stability.
